Records indicate that our home was built in 1900. 

The records that exist today would not differential between the year a home was initially constructed and the year a home was remodeled or enlarged. So we use clues that we find in the history of the area, the surrounding homes, relics found buried in the yard, and artifacts that remain inside the home to substantiate that date.

ELECTRICTY  The area had electricity beginning in 1897 and electric railway car service in 1899.

The home is located a short distance from the train depot and power station. 

At one time, the home had knob and tub wiring which was standard for homes built around 1900.

LIVERY Being in proximity to the train station and located in a farming community, it makes sense that the property once operated a HORSE & AUTO LIVERY.
